DLF Emporio concluded its 7th edition of Design Awards on 27th March 2019. A unique initiative that puts students first and lends a platform for aspiring designers in the field of fashion and design by bringing together leading names in the fashion industry to spotlight creative brilliance. The event gives the winner an exclusive, once in a lifetime opportunity to retail their collection at DLF Emporio.
The theme for this year's awards was 'Geometrics'. The 37 shortlisted contestants were tasked with designing apparels and accessories as per their interpretation of the theme. A discerning jury comprising of Executive Vice President, DLF Luxury Retail & Hospitality, Dinaz Madhukar, FDCI President Sunil Sethi, celebrated designer duo Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna, ace fashion designer, Ravi Bajaj, Hello! India Editor Ruchika Mehta, and Digital Editor of Bride's Today & Influencer Rasna Bhasin, announced the winners at the grand finale.

The coveted People's Choice Award, based on maximum votes garnered on social media went to Priyanshu Kumar, Amity School of Fashion and Technology. The Runner Up in this category was Khushi Agarwal, Hamstech, Gachibowli with the second highest votes amongst the student designers.

In this year's chapter, DLF Emporio narrowed down a total of 37 finalists - 29 in the apparel category and 8 in the accessories category. They received more than 300 entries from students of premiere institutions such as National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Pearl Academy of Fashion, London College of Fashion, Symbiosis Institute of Design, Indian Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT), Vogue Institute of Fashion Technology, International Institute of Fashion Design (IIFD), among others.
