New Delhi, 2nd August 2015: The four-day long wedding event saw a lot of traction from prospective brides and grooms who were styled by the renowned stylists; Niharika Khan, Aki Narula and Mohan Neelakantan.
To kick start the event, a launch party was hosted which unveiled the ‘Madapam’ designed by Klove in association with Swarovski.
The evening witnessed some of the biggest names in the fashion industry such as Manish Arora, Surekha Jain, Monisha Jaising, Tarun Tahiliani, Suneet Varma, Anju Modi, Leena Singh among others.
The ‘Treasury of Trousseau’ focused on building dream weddings by putting together stunning wedding looks and providing exclusive access to some of India’s greatest designers and their collections. Mohan Neelakantan’s styling revolved around going back to the traditional outfits while making use of unusual colours and floral patterns with hair ornaments being a must-have accessory for the season. For Aki Narula, bridal trends this season went in two distinct directions- first were the vintage and heirloom pieces, where a lot of bridal outfits from previous generations are being re-worked on and second was the extremely contemporary and modern approach where brides were seen to go for non-traditional pastel colours. This year, Niharika Khan went for a more refined look for the bride, experimenting with elegant pastel coloured lucknowi and gota lehengas.
Speaking about the third edition of The Treasury of Trousseau, Dinaz Madhukar, Senior Vice President, DLF Emporio said,“The 3rd edition of Treasury of Trousseau was a grand success for us and we at DLF Emporio went all out to create an opulent experience for our patrons. I am thrilled to see the responses of our patrons as we saw an overwhelming number of bookings for our stylists. This year we also added many new elements such as getting Mirari on board as the jewellery partner and we had a ‘Mandapam’ installation designed by Klove in association with Swarovski. It is our constant endeavour to provide bespoke experiences to our patrons and we hope to come back with a bigger and an even more opulent show next year.”
