The inspiration behind the design is the legend of the brave amazonian women warriors. They used to wear armours as a protechtion from their enemies. It was essential for them to be equipped with armour most of the time in order to remain ready for the threatening circumstances. It could be said that their armour was their first skin. But the armour was too solitary so to add more feminine components, the use of mehendi design is incorporated. The design is called "the second skin" because of vital importance of armour for the amazonian warriors. With the idea of how mehendi designs are made on the skin of a person, it is implemented on to "the second skin".
