January 23, 2019: Launched in 2012, the DLF Emporio Design Awards has been created to encourage and support upcoming student designers. Each year, DLF Emporio recognizes and honours the brightest and the most radical new creative minds to launch the new generation of thinkers, makers and disruptors in the field of fashion and design.

The 7th Edition of DLF Emporio Design Awards received more than 300 entries and witnessed overwhelming design creativity from student designers of institutions such as London College of Fashion, Pearl Academy, NIFT, IIFT, INIFD and JD Institute of Fashion, amongst others.

The theme this year was "Geometrics". Students used various characteristics of Geometrics in the form of motifs and also broken lines of Cubism to design their garments and accessories.

Designer duo Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna, came on board for the Pre Jury Round to shortlist top 30 designs across various parameters.

On this occasion Rohit Gandhi said 'DLF Emporio Design Awards is a great opportunity for the students because they can interact with all the designers that are here in the mall. Students can also get the opportunity to work with designers present in DLF Emporio.’

The grand finale will be held in March 2019 amongst other stalwarts of Indian fashion industry wherein the finalists will give life to their short-listed designs and the winners will get a fantastic opportunity to set up a Pop- Up in DLF Emporio.
