DLF Emporio concluded its 6th edition of Design Awards and honoured promising young names in fashion with an awards ceremony. From past 6 years, India’s finest luxury retail destination has lended a platform for aspiring designers in the field of fashion and design, as leading names in the industry come together to spotlight creative brilliance.

The theme for this year’s award ceremony was ‘Flora and Fauna’, where the contestants were asked to design a look based on their interpretation of the theme in terms of apparels and accessories. A discerning jury comprising of designer duo Shivan and Narresh, Luxury Influencer and Entrepreneur Kalyani Chawla, Hello! India Editor Ruchika Mehta, and Executive Vice President, DLF Luxury Retail & Hospitality, Dinaz Madhukar, announced the winners at the ceremony.

The list of winners is as follows:

• Harshita Jain of Pearl Academy, Delhi, Winner- Apparel category
• Kushpal Singh of International Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD), Runner Up- Apparel category
• Shrishti Mittal of India Institute of Gems & Jewellery, Delhi, Winner- Accessory category
• Nayna Dhawan of Delhi Gemological Laboratory, Delhi, Runner Up- Accessory category

The coveted People’s Choice Award went to Shweta Chauhan, International Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD) basis maximum votes garnered on social media, in addition to one semi-finalist award won by Rajat Gupt, Pearl Academy, Jaipur.

To help them enhance their creative talent, the winners shall get an exclusive grand opportunity to retail their collection at DLF Emporio that houses more than 100 International and Indian luxury brands.

In this year's chapter, DLF Emporio narrowed down a total of 29 finalists - 22 Finalists in the apparel category and 7 finalists in the accessories category. They received more than 300 entries from students of premiere institutions such as National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Pearl Academy of Fashion, Symbiosis Institute of Design, Indian Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT), Vogue Institute of Fashion Technology, Raffeles Millenium Institute, International Institute of Fashion Design (IIFD), among others.
