New Delhi, April 14th 2017: Global fashion and lifestyle brand, Kate Spade New York, in association with Harper’s Bazaar India, made a fashionable entry into the country with the launch of their first boutique at DLF Emporio, India’s finest luxury destination.
The store which has a multi-room design, allows patrons to experience the versatility of Kate Spade New York’s lifestyle offerings. The launch unveiled the label’s Spring 2017 collection — the Moroccan journey of the Kate Spade girl. The collection takes inspiration from silhouettes of the desert, candle-lit lanterns, and the souks and oasis in the Majorelle Gardens.
With detailed, textured fabrics, the collection has intricate work of pompoms, appliqués, and ruffles, sitting against the backdrop of femininity. Featuring the key element of this collection was a unique installation of a life-size marigold camel, along with the bespoke display of Kate Spade New York’s iconic handbag designs — such as Isobel, Candace and Blanca.
Deborah Lloyd, Chief Creative Officer, Kate Spade New York said, “I am thrilled to celebrate the launch of Kate Spade New York in India. I am so inspired by the rich and colorful heritage and cannot wait to see how the Indian woman styles our collection. She understands and knows how to wear vibrant colors and bold prints. She is elegant, put together, sophisticated and appreciates a hint of whimsy. I look forward to traveling to India soon to experience this inspirational country first-hand”.
