ENSEMBLE opened its doors on December 12, 1987 when Tarun and Sailaja Tahiliani with Rohit Khosla launched India's first fashion store in a machine tool showroom in Kala Ghoda, Mumbai.

ENSEMBLE has launched over 80% of India’s top designers, including Tarun Tahiliani, Anamika Khanna, Manish Malhotra, Gaurav Gupta, Amit Aggarwal, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, Aseem Kapoor and Chandrima. Today, the store has an extensive curation in the Indian occasion wear, contemporary, accessories and textile space, prioritising quality, timelessness and independent thought. We pride ourselves on the best curation in the industry, promoting and preserving crafts and nurturing and mentoring new design talent. ENSEMBLE's most noteworthy achievement is that it has engaged, nudged, propelled, launched and showcased practically all of India's great design talent, with no reason except that it believed in their potential. The annual ENSEMBLE fashion shows were the precursor to the Indian Fashion Weeks.
